One Arrested as East Kameng Police Bust Drug Racket

  BANA, EAST KAMENG, July 24:  East Kameng Police have seized 60 vials containing suspected narcotic and psychotropic substances weighing 72.7 grams (including the weight of the vials) in a successful anti-narcotics operation conducted along NH-13 in the Bana area. Acting on credible intelligence, police intercepted a suspected Alto 800 vehicle and recovered 46 vials of suspected contraband during a search carried out in the presence of an Executive Magistrate.  Follow-up action led to the arrest of Naga Flago, from whose possession 14 additional vials were recovered during a search conducted under the provisions of the NDPS Act. Capital Police Arrest Suspected Drug Peddler, Seize 46 Heroin Vials

  ITANAGAR, July 24:  In a significant breakthrough under the ongoing "Operation All Out" against narcotics, the Special Action Team (SAT) of Capital Police, Itanagar, arrested a suspected drug peddler during a raid conducted in the Mob-II area under Niti Vihar Police Station. The operation, carried out on July 23, was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ), ICR, Shri Chamrak Arun, APPS, and SDPO Itanagar, Shri Chera Saban, APPS, along with SI Tejab Tadar, HC Tashi Wangchu, Ct. Tasso Tasser, Ct. Jumter Romin, and L/Ct. Dulley Yasing. Acting on specific and credible intelligence, the SAT intercepted the suspect near his rented accommodation at Mob-II after obtaining the necessary legal authorization.  The accused, a resident of Assam whose identity has been withheld to protect the ongoing investigation, was taken into custody without incident. Namsai Police Arrest Drug Peddler, Seize Suspected Heroin

  NAMSAI, July 13:  Namsai Police arrested an alleged drug peddler during a targeted anti-drug operation at Nongtaw Khamti-II Village and seized 35 grams (gross weight) of suspected heroin along with other incriminating materials. The accused has been identified as Shri Chow Wingseng Kamthong. The operation was launched based on specific and credible intelligence regarding his alleged involvement in narcotics trafficking. According to police, a search of the accused's residence was conducted in the presence of independent witnesses.  During the search, officers recovered 35 grams (gross weight) of suspected heroin concealed inside a medicine container kept in a flowery sling (tamul) bag in the kacha kitchen attached to the house.  Police also seized other articles believed to be associated with drug trafficking. Siang Police Bust Drug Network, Three Arrested

  BOLENG, July 11:  Siang District Police, in coordination with the West Siang Anti-Drug Squad (ADS), busted an alleged drug network during a late-night operation in Boleng on July 9.  Three persons, including an Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) personnel and two women from West Siang district, were arrested. The operation was conducted as part of the district police's sustained crackdown against drug trafficking. It was carried out under the overall supervision of Superintendent of Police J. K. Lego, IPS, and the direct guidance of SDPO Y. Yangi. The police team was led by Officer-in-Charge of Boleng Police Station, SI T. Padung, along with SI M. Karlo, SI M. Nobeng, ASI L. Karga, L/Ct. P.   ITANAGAR, June 30: Capital Police Itanagar intensified its ongoing campaign against drug trafficking with the arrest of an alleged drug peddler and the seizure of 38.8 grams of suspected heroin during a well-coordinated anti-narcotics operation at BN Colony, Chimpu, on June 29. The accused has been identified as Bicky Nidak Tamin alias Biki Tamin (22), son of Tapor Nidak and a resident of BN Colony, Chimpu. The operation was carried out by the Special Action Team (SAT) of Capital Police Itanagar under the supervision of DySP (HQ) Chamrak Arun, APPS.   ITANAGAR, June 26: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Capital Police Itanagar arrested two alleged drug peddlers and dismantled a heroin distribution network operating from Senki Park during a coordinated anti-narcotics operation conducted on June 25. The operation was jointly carried out by the Niti Vihar Police Station and the Special Action Team (SAT) of Capital Police Itanagar following specific and credible intelligence inputs regarding heroin trafficking in the area. The operation was led by DySP (HQ), ICR, Shri Chamrak Arun, APPS, who heads the Special Action Team (SAT). The SAT team comprised SI Padam Padi, Ct. Rinchin Tsering, Ct. Tasso Tasser, Ct.   Banderdewa, June 24: Banderdewa Police achieved another breakthrough in their ongoing crackdown on narcotics after seizing suspected heroin and arresting one person during a naka checking operation at the Banderdewa Check Gate on Wednesday. The operation was launched following specific intelligence inputs regarding the transportation of narcotic substances from Assam into Arunachal Pradesh.
