  ITANAGAR, July 11:  The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) has urged the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) and the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) to keep all recruitment processes on hold until the High-Level Committee reviewing the state's 80:20 recruitment policy submits its final report. The committee, headed by Minister Nyato Dukam, was constituted by the state government to examine the feasibility of abolishing the existing 80:20 recruitment ratio in Arunachal Pradesh. YAZALI, July 9: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) has extended major humanitarian assistance to families affected by the recent flash floods through its statewide Flood Relief Outreach Programme. The initiative was spearheaded by AAPSU President Shri Meje Taku and General Secretary Shri Mato Bui, along with the union's executive members, Branch Students' Unions (BSUs), and District Students' Unions (DSUs), who stood at the forefront of relief efforts during the crisis. Driven by a strong sense of responsibility, AAPSU voluntarily conducted a two-day statewide donation drive across district headquarters, successfully mobilising over ₹25 lakh in cash assistance.  In addition to financial aid, the union also provided a truckload of essential relief materials, including food items, vegetables, clothing, drinking water, and other daily necessities for affected families.   ITANAGAR, July 6:  The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has constituted a high-level committee to examine the feasibility and methodology for abolishing the existing 80:20 reservation ratio in competitive recruitment processes and making PRC and APST certificates mandatory for all such recruitments. The committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Industries, Skill Development, Labour and Employment Minister Nyato Dukam.  The order was issued by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Training (AR&T) on July 6 with the approval of the competent authority.   Itanagar, June 30:  The Rajiv Gandhi University Research Scholars' Forum (RGURSF), with the support of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU), on Tuesday, has submitted a joint memorandum to the Chairman of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), Prof. Pradip Lingfa, urging the commission to review the recruitment process for the 145 Assistant Professor posts to ensure greater fairness, transparency, inclusivity, and merit-based selection. The memorandum comes in response to concerns raised by several Ph.D. scholars, NET-qualified candidates, and aspiring Assistant Professors from different disciplines over the existing shortlisting criteria and selection procedure.
