  Ziro, July 11: The Bamin Michi Tourism Promotion Committee (BMTPC) has launched a year-long cleanliness and awareness campaign aimed at transforming Bamin Michi into a clean, sustainable and model tourist village through active community participation and lasting behavioural change. Nestled in the picturesque Ziro Valley of Arunachal Pradesh, Bamin Michi is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and scenic beauty. The village is historically recognised as the only settlement in the region known for its traditional pottery craftsmanship before the widespread use of modern utensils.  It is also home to Pamu Yallang, one of Ziro's most popular viewpoints, offering panoramic views of the valley and attracting visitors throughout the year.   Ziro, June 10: In a major boost to Arunachal Pradesh's handloom sector, the foundation stone for a Handloom Marketing Complex was laid at the Craft Centre Complex in Hapoli, Ziro, Lower Subansiri district, on June 9. The ceremony was led by Shri Pabitra Margherita, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Government of India, in the presence of Ziro MLA Shri Hage Appa and several senior officials. The Handloom Marketing Complex will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹10.97 crore under a 90:10 funding partnership between the Government of India and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
