Three NSCN Cadres Surrender, Return to Mainstream in Changlang
Changlang, June 22: In a significant development towards peace, stability, and rehabilitation in the region, three cadres belonging to the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) have voluntarily surrendered and returned to mainstream society in Changlang district. According to official sources, two cadres of NSCN-Reformation (NSCN-R) and one cadre of NSCN-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) recently surrendered before the Changlang District Police. The surrender was facilitated through continuous counselling efforts by the police and the active support and encouragement of their family members. The surrendered individuals chose to renounce the path of violence and insurgency in order to lead a peaceful and productive life within society. Their decision reflects a growing willingness among misguided youths to embrace peace, reconciliation, and lawful livelihoods.
