  PASIGHAT, July 13:  In a continued effort to enforce the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system and prevent unauthorized stay in Arunachal Pradesh, East Siang Police have detected 22 individuals for allegedly violating ILP regulations during a recent enforcement drive carried out across the district. According to official information, the violators were found during routine verification and inspection conducted by police personnel as part of intensified checks to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Inner Line Permit system. The case has been registered at Pasighat Police Station under PSG PS Non-FIR C/No. 28/26 and booked under Section 3 of the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation (BEFRA), which governs the entry and stay of non-residents in the state.   Tezu, June 8: The Arunachal ST Bachao Andolan Committee (ASTBAC), Lohit District Unit, has submitted a formal representation to the Superintendent of Police, Lohit district, strongly condemning an incident that allegedly took place at Medo Check Gate on June 5 involving members of the All Moran Students’ Union (AMSU), Lekang Circle. In the memorandum, the committee stated that Lohit district falls under the protected area regime where possession of a valid Inner Line Permit (ILP) is mandatory for all non-APST individuals entering the district. The committee alleged that certain AMSU members attempted to enter Lohit district without valid ILP documents and reportedly misbehaved with police personnel on duty at the check gate.
