East Siang Police Detect 22 ILP Violators, Initiate Externment Proceedings
PASIGHAT, July 13: In a continued effort to enforce the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system and prevent unauthorized stay in Arunachal Pradesh, East Siang Police have detected 22 individuals for allegedly violating ILP regulations during a recent enforcement drive carried out across the district. According to official information, the violators were found during routine verification and inspection conducted by police personnel as part of intensified checks to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Inner Line Permit system. The case has been registered at Pasighat Police Station under PSG PS Non-FIR C/No. 28/26 and booked under Section 3 of the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation (BEFRA), which governs the entry and stay of non-residents in the state.
