LDV Police Donates 30 Units of Blood at Roing Camp

  ROING, June 27:  Demonstrating its commitment to community service beyond law enforcement, the Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) Police organised a voluntary blood donation camp at the District Hospital in Roing on Saturday. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from police personnel and officials of the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), resulting in the collection of 30 units of blood for patients in need. The camp was led by Shri Pujom Buchi, APPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), who participated alongside officers and personnel from the Civil Police, Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn), Fire Service, Wireless Telegraphy (WT), Special Branch (SB), and other police ranks. Seven Mising Workers Rescued from Alleged Labour Abuse

  Roing/Sadiya, June 9: Seven Mising youths from Assam's Sadiya subdivision were rescued from a construction site in Arunachal Pradesh after allegedly enduring physical abuse, starvation, and inhuman working conditions. The rescue operation was conducted on Monday by members of the Sadiya district units of the Takam Mising Porin Kebang (TMPK) and the Mising Mimag Kebang (MMK) following distress calls from the workers and their families.  According to TMPK, the youths from the Amarpur area had been lured by local middlemen with promises of employment and were later engaged under a contractor at a culvert construction site linked to the Lower Dibang Hydroelectric Project in Roing.
