NSCN-K (Angmai) SS Captain Surrenders Before Longding Police
LONGDING, July 11: In a significant development for security agencies in Arunachal Pradesh, an active cadre of the NSCN-K (Angmai), identified as SS Captain Pongngoi Wangnowham (37), surrendered before the Longding Police at the Office of the Superintendent of Police on Saturday. A resident of Kamkah village under Kanubari Police Station in Longding district, Wangnowham had reportedly been associated with the militant outfit since 2005, spending nearly two decades with the organisation. The surrender was conducted in the presence of officials from the Longding Police, the 24th Assam Rifles, the Intelligence Unit, and other security agencies, reflecting coordinated efforts to encourage militants to return to the mainstream.
