Alleged NSCN-K Cadre Held in Tirap Joint Operation
Itanagar, June 19: An alleged cadre of the NSCN-K (Ang Mai) faction was apprehended during a joint operation carried out by the Assam Rifles and Arunachal Pradesh Police in Tirap district, officials said on Friday. According to an official report issued by the District Information and Public Relations Office (DIPRO), the operation was launched on June 18 in the Hydel area of Khonsa town following specific intelligence inputs regarding the movement of an underground operative in the locality. Acting swiftly on the information, security personnel conducted a carefully planned and coordinated ambush in the area. The operation resulted in the successful apprehension of the suspect, identified as Langsom Losu (32), alias Gangsa, an alleged member of the NSCN-K (Ang Mai) faction and a resident of the district.
