  ITANAGAR, July 26:  A new public advocacy body, the Public Rights Action Committee (PRAC), was formally constituted on Saturday with the objective of addressing issues affecting the public. They said their motive is to address the long-pending unemployment of qualified pharmacists in Arunachal Pradesh and concerns over the alleged operation of illegal pharmacies across the state.  The newly formed committee announced its office bearers as Takam Sonia (Chairman), Millo Ambo (General Secretary), Techi Rana Tara (Legal Advisor), and Tana Tamar Tara (Spokesperson).   Kochi, June 30: A public controversy has surfaced after renowned hepatologist and medical science communicator Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, popularly known as "The Liver Doc," urged the Government of India to revoke the Padma Shri awarded to Arunachal Pradesh herbalist Yanung Jamoh Lego. The appeal follows his allegation that the official Padma Shri citation contains unverified therapeutic claims that are inconsistent with Indian law governing medical advertisements.   ROING, June 27:  Demonstrating its commitment to community service beyond law enforcement, the Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) Police organised a voluntary blood donation camp at the District Hospital in Roing on Saturday. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from police personnel and officials of the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), resulting in the collection of 30 units of blood for patients in need.   Itanagar, June 23: In a move aimed at enhancing patient care and hospital hygiene, the Health Department has introduced bedsheets for patients' beds on a trial basis in government hospitals across the state. The initiative was launched on Monday in the presence of Health Minister Biyuram Wahge following hospital requirements and feedback received from the public. Under the trial initiative, blue bedsheets have been provided for male wards and pink bedsheets for female wards. The bedsheets carry the official logo of the Health Department and are intended to create a cleaner, more comfortable, and patient-friendly environment in hospitals.   Itanagar, May 22: The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, has officially declared all government and private hospitals, District Hospitals, Community Health Centres (CHCs), Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and Sub Centres across the state as “Tobacco-Free Zones” with immediate effect. The notification, issued under the provisions of Section 4 of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), 2003, aims to create a healthy, safe, and smoke-free environment for patients, caregivers, healthcare workers, and visitors. As per the order, the use of any form of tobacco, including smoking, chewing gutkha, paan masala, and related products, has been strictly prohibited within the entire hospital premises. Triplet pregnancies are widely regarded as high-risk due to increased chances of complications for both the mother and the babies. Such cases are most often associated with assisted reproductive technologies like in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, in this instance, the pregnancy was entirely natural, making it exceptionally rare.
