IMD Issues Five-Day District-Wise Rainfall Warning for Arunachal Pradesh

  ITANAGAR, July 15:  The Meteorological Centre, Itanagar, has issued a five-day district-wise weather warning for Arunachal Pradesh, indicating heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning across several parts of the state between July 15 and July 19.  According to the warning map, Orange Alert (Be Prepared) has been issued for Pakke Kessang and Papum Pare on July 15, with forecasts of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.  Most other districts remain under a Yellow Alert (Be Updated), while central and northern districts are under the green category. On July 16, orange alerts continue for Pakke Kessang and Papum Pare, while yellow alerts remain in effect for several western and eastern districts. IMD Issues Red Warning for West Kameng and Papum Pare

  ITANAGAR, June 27:  The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Meteorological Centre Itanagar, has issued an Impact-Based Weather Forecast warning for Arunachal Pradesh, placing West Kameng and Papum Pare districts under Red Warning (Take Action) for June 28 (Day-2). The department has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and heavy rainfall over the warned districts as active monsoon conditions continue to influence the state. According to the district-wise warning map released by the IMD, East Kameng, Pakke Kessang, Lower Subansiri and East Siang have been placed under the Orange Warning (Be Prepared) category. The weather office has indicated that these districts are likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning and heavy rainfall of 6–11 cm within 24 hours at isolated places during the forecast period from June 28 to June 29. IMD Warns of Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms in Arunachal Districts from June 21

  Itanagar, June 20:  The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Meteorological Centre Itanagar, has issued an impact-based weather forecast warning for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and heavy rainfall in several districts of Arunachal Pradesh over the next two days. The warning, issued at 1:00 PM on June 20, cautions that isolated places may experience heavy rainfall ranging between 6 cm and 11 cm within a 24-hour period. According to the forecast, Papum Pare, Upper Siang, and Lower Dibang Valley districts are likely to witness thunderstorms with lightning and heavy rainfall during the period from June 21 to June 22. The weather activity is expected to continue on June 22–23, with Namsai, Lower Dibang Valley, and Lohit districts likely to experience similar conditions.
