Rare Himalayan Musk Deer Spotted in Anini
ANINI, June 27: A rare sighting of the elusive Himalayan Musk Deer in the high-altitude region of Anini, Arunachal Pradesh's Dibang Valley district, has once again highlighted the exceptional biodiversity of one of India's most pristine wilderness landscapes. The Himalayan Musk Deer was noticed and recorded on video by trekkers while traversing the high-altitude trails near Anini. In the footage, the elusive animal appears equally startled by the unexpected encounter, remaining almost completely motionless for nearly a minute as it stared towards the person recording before eventually disappearing into the rugged terrain. Such close observations are exceptionally rare given the species' shy and secretive nature.
