  DEOMALI, July 13:  The search for the third missing student continued on Monday as the rescue operation at the Chatjo River entered its third day. Rescue teams recovered the body of the second missing student after an extensive search conducted by multiple agencies. The first victim, a student from Kaimai village, was recovered on the day of the incident, Saturday, July 11.  With the recovery of the second body on Monday, efforts are now focused on locating the third student, who remains missing. The operation is being led by Inspector Nitish Singh, In-charge of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and SI Yumto Pulong, In-charge of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), under the overall supervision of ADC (i/c) Deomali, Indira Thomoung Riba.  Rescue teams have been camping at the riverbank and will resume the search on Tuesday.   TEZU, July 8: A mudslide struck Lohitpur in Arunachal Pradesh's Lohit district on Wednesday morning, trapping five people beneath debris and triggering an immediate rescue operation by district authorities and emergency response teams. According to official updates, all five trapped individuals were successfully rescued following a coordinated rescue effort. Of the rescued victims, two are reported to be in critical condition and are receiving urgent medical treatment, while the remaining three are in stable condition.   Deomali, July 1:  A coordinated joint inspection was conducted by the Deomali Sub-Divisional Administration of Arunachal Pradesh and the Naharkatiya Sub-Divisional Administration of Assam to assess the damage caused by landslides at multiple locations near Kothalguri along the Joypore–Hukanjuri route. The inspection was attended by the MLA of Naharkatiya, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Naharkatiya, officials from various departments of the Assam Government, the ADC of Deomali, the Circle Officer (CO) of Soha, and BJP Mandal members from Arunachal Pradesh.  The team reviewed the extent of the damage and discussed measures to restore connectivity at the earliest.   Tezu, June 8: The Arunachal ST Bachao Andolan Committee (ASTBAC), Lohit District Unit, has submitted a formal representation to the Superintendent of Police, Lohit district, strongly condemning an incident that allegedly took place at Medo Check Gate on June 5 involving members of the All Moran Students’ Union (AMSU), Lekang Circle. In the memorandum, the committee stated that Lohit district falls under the protected area regime where possession of a valid Inner Line Permit (ILP) is mandatory for all non-APST individuals entering the district.
