Bosiram Siram Attends AICC ‘Vote Chori’ Meeting
NEW DELHI | October 5:
Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Shri Bosiram Siram attended a high-level Congress meeting in New Delhi on October 5 to discuss the party’s concerns over alleged “Vote Chori” and the protection of citizens’ right to vote.
The meeting brought together Pradesh Congress Committee presidents, AICC general secretaries and state in-charges from across the country.
Congress leaders discussed allegations of arbitrary deletion and exclusion of eligible voters from electoral rolls.
The party maintained that any deliberate or wrongful removal of eligible voters could undermine their constitutional right to participate in elections.
It stressed that electoral rolls must be accurate, transparent and free from unlawful manipulation.
Congress leaders also called for accountability if any individual or authority is found responsible for wrongful exclusion or manipulation of voter records. They said such matters should be examined through due process and appropriate institutional mechanisms.
The meeting also saw the Congress raise allegations concerning Chief Election Commissioner Shri Gyanesh Kumar and decisions related to electoral rolls.
The party alleged that certain decisions benefited the ruling BJP, but these remain political allegations and are subject to verification and institutional scrutiny.
Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Shri Rahul Gandhi and Congress General Secretary (Organisation) Shri K.C. Venugopal were among those present.
PCC presidents, AICC general secretaries and state in-charges from different states also participated in the discussions.
The Congress reiterated its commitment to protecting the constitutional right to vote and maintaining electoral transparency.
The party said safeguarding the voting rights of every eligible citizen is essential to preserving the credibility of India’s democratic process.
