Tapir Gao Attends Solung Festival in Assam
ASSAM, September 20: Arunachal East Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao attended the 10th Solung Festival celebration at Obonori in Kumbang Village, Assam, on Sunday. The celebration was organised by the Adi Mising Bane Kebang (AMBK). Gao’s participation placed a prominent Arunachal representative at a festival that brings together communities connected by shared cultural traditions and historical ties across Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. In a message shared after attending the event, Gao described Solung as a deeply cherished festival of the Adi community. He said the festival celebrates agricultural traditions, cultural heritage, ancestral wisdom and the spirit of community. The MP also highlighted the longstanding cultural relationship between the Adi and Mising communities of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
