Robin Hibu Visits Deepak Nabam Living Home in Itanagar
ITANAGAR, September 19: Senior IPS officer Robin Hibu visited the Deepak Nabam Living Home at Senki Park in Itanagar and spent time interacting with residents of the centre.
Hibu, who serves as Special Commissioner of Police in the Human Resource Division of Delhi Police, personally met the residents and spoke with them about their lives and experiences.
During the visit, he walked alongside the residents, listened to them and shared words of encouragement. His interaction went beyond a formal visit, as he took time to understand the circumstances of people living at the centre.
The visit also turned emotional as Hibu was deeply moved while interacting with the residents. His gesture and personal engagement were appreciated by those at the home.
Deepak Nabam, founder of the living home, said Hibu’s visit meant a great deal to the residents and the team working at the centre.
Nabam said the interaction demonstrated the importance of spending time with people who are often left without family support or someone to listen to them. He also appreciated Hibu for acknowledging the efforts of the centre and encouraging its work.
According to Nabam, Hibu’s words of encouragement have provided additional motivation to continue supporting people who have nowhere else to turn.
Hibu also assured the centre that he would extend his support whenever possible. The assurance was welcomed by the team as it continues its efforts to provide care and support to vulnerable people.
Robin Hibu is an IPS officer from Arunachal Pradesh and has served in various capacities during his career. He has also received several recognitions for his service, including the President’s Police Medal, Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak and UN Peace Medals for his service in Bosnia and Kosovo.
Hibu is also associated with Helping Hands, an organisation that works to assist people from Northeast India who face difficulties and require support in different parts of the country.
The Deepak Nabam Living Home, meanwhile, continues to provide shelter, care and support to people in need. Its work focuses on giving residents a safe environment and helping them live with dignity and a sense of belonging.
The visit brought attention to the importance of community support for people living at the centre and reinforced the value of direct human interaction in such spaces.
