Ziro-Hapoli MLA Hage Appa Visits Flood-Hit Keyi Panyor
KEYI PANYOR, June 30:
The MLA of the 17th Ziro-Hapoli Assembly Constituency, Hage Appa, along with representatives of various Apatani community-based organisations (CBOs) and student unions, on Tuesday visited the flash flood-affected Posa area in Keyi Panyor district to express solidarity with the victims. During the visit, the delegation conveyed profound grief over the recent cloudburst and devastating flash floods that ravaged several parts of the district, particularly the NEEPCO area, including Posa and other severely affected locations.
In a message of condolence and solidarity, Hage Appa said he was deeply saddened by the tragic loss of five lives in the disaster. Extending his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, he prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and wished a speedy recovery to those injured. He also prayed that all affected families find the strength, courage, and resilience to overcome the difficult situation.
As a gesture of support, Hage Appa visited Keyi Panyor district on June 30 along with the District Mandal President of Lower Subansiri, Shri Padi Ribya, TSD President Shri Pura Sambyo and General Secretary Shri Hage Komo, AYA President Shri Subu Opo Sala and General Secretary Shri Tapi Tamang, ASU President Shri Mom Hangu and General Secretary Shri Takhe Pugang, accompanied by their respective executive members.
During the visit, the delegation met Keyi Panyor MLA Toko Tatung, the Zilla Chairperson of Keyi Panyor, and other prominent district leaders to express solidarity with the flood-affected people and discuss the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.
Hage Appa also lauded the relentless efforts of Keyi Panyor MLA Toko Tatung, the district administration, disaster response agencies, security forces, volunteers, community-based organisations, and all individuals involved in the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation operations.
He said their unwavering commitment during this difficult period has been instrumental in supporting the affected communities.
Reaffirming his support, the Ziro-Hapoli MLA stated that the people of his constituency stand firmly with the people of Keyi Panyor in this hour of crisis. He expressed hope for the district's swift recovery through collective efforts and prayed for strength and comfort for all those affected by the tragedy.
