Pema Khandu Inaugurates Agriculture Hub in Naharlagun

 


Naharlagun, September 7: 

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday inaugurated the State Agriculture Information Hub-cum-Farmers’ Hostel at the Directorate of Agriculture in Naharlagun.

The facility is aimed at strengthening farmer support, improving access to agricultural information and enhancing market connectivity for farmers visiting the state capital.

Agriculture and Allied Departments Minister Gabriel D. Wangsu, MLA-cum-Advisors Talem Taboh and Techi Kaso, senior officials and farmers attended the programme.

The event also saw the launch of Arunachal Organic Coffee under the Mission Organic Value Chain Development (MOVCD), along with the release of the Agriculture, Apiculture and Horticulture Policies.

The Matsya e-Vaahini and e-Rickshaw booklet were also released during the programme, highlighting initiatives in the agriculture and allied sectors.

The government also honoured Best Fish Farmers with awards and felicitated achievers under the Horticulture Department’s Harvest of the Month initiative.

The programme was jointly organised by the Departments of Agriculture and Fisheries and attended by officials from Agriculture, Horticulture and AHVDD, directors, senior officers and farmers.

The inauguration marks another step towards strengthening Arunachal Pradesh’s agriculture and allied sectors and improving support and opportunities for farmers.
