New Blood Bank Facility Coming Up at Namsai Hospital

NAMSAI, September 6:

Arunachal Pradesh Health and Family Welfare Minister Biyuram Wahge, along with Namsai MLA Zingnu Namchoom, laid the foundation stone for a new Blood Bank facility at District Hospital, Namsai, on Sunday.

The planned facility is expected to strengthen emergency and blood transfusion services at the hospital and ensure more timely access to blood for patients requiring transfusion.

The initiative comes as the district hospital continues to witness high patient footfall, increasing the need for stronger emergency and supportive healthcare infrastructure.

During his visit, Wahge toured the hospital and reviewed several key facilities, including the CT Scan Room, Oxygen Plant and Mortuary.

He also assessed the existing infrastructure and healthcare services available at the hospital.

The Health Minister appreciated the hospital management for its efforts in catering to the growing number of patients and reviewed the requirements for further strengthening healthcare services.

Wahge also assured the hospital authorities of continued government support and further assistance to improve infrastructure and healthcare delivery at the District Hospital.

The new Blood Bank is expected to be an important addition to Namsai’s healthcare infrastructure, particularly for patients requiring urgent transfusion support during medical emergencies.
