Legal Awareness Programme Held in Itanagar

 


ITANAGAR, August 18:

A Legal Awareness Programme was organised by Friends For Life, an NGO, in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Itanagar.

The programme brought together legal professionals, dignitaries and citizens with the aim of promoting awareness about legal rights, constitutional provisions and access to legal services.

Dr. Hirendra Kashyap, District & Sessions Judge, Yupia, delivered a special reference on Constitutional Amendments and Women’s Rights Movements in India, with particular focus on Arunachal Pradesh.

Shri Tadu Tamang, Member Secretary of APSLSA, attended the programme as the Guest of Honour, while Padma Shri awardee Shri Tathyangahen Mundayar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The session provided participants with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of their legal rights and entitlements. 

The program also highlighted the importance of legal awareness in empowering citizens.

The programme concluded with an emphasis on strengthening access to legal knowledge and encouraging people to make informed use of the legal services available to them.
