CM Pema Khandu Felicitates 72 Newly Recruited Junior Specialists
ITANAGAR, August 12:
Chief Minister Pema Khandu felicitated the successful candidates of the Medical Specialist Recruitment Examination–2026 and presented their orders of appointment at a programme held in Itanagar.
A total of 72 newly recruited Junior Specialists were formally inducted into government service as part of the state’s efforts to strengthen its healthcare workforce.
Health Minister Biyuram Wahge and Urban Affairs, Land Management and Civil Aviation Minister Balo Raja also attended the felicitation-cum-presentation programme.
Addressing the gathering, Khandu said the government’s vision is clear: people should not have to leave Arunachal Pradesh for specialised treatment that can be provided within the state.
He said the government wants specialised healthcare services to reach every district and, ultimately, the last mile, so that people can access quality treatment closer to home.
The Chief Minister said the government will continue strengthening hospitals, upgrading medical infrastructure and expanding healthcare facilities across the state.
He added that the focus will remain on bringing better and more specialised healthcare closer to the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
