Seppa Police Personnel Honoured for Excellence in NDPS Operations and Traffic Management

Seppa Police proudly felicitated several officers with Appreciation Letters presented by the Superintendent of Police, East Kameng District, Shri Shivendu Bhushan, IPS, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the successful detection and seizure of narcotic substances under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The officers were honoured for their dedication, professionalism, vigilance, and swift action in combating the menace of illegal drugs. Their commendable efforts have significantly contributed to strengthening law enforcement and reinforcing the district's commitment towards building a drug-free society.

On the occasion, SP Shri Shivendu Bhushan, IPS, also acknowledged the exemplary service rendered by the Seppa Traffic Police. The personnel were recognized for their tireless efforts in promoting road safety, ensuring smooth traffic management, maintaining public order on roads, and encouraging responsible driving practices among citizens.

Three Held for Mithun Theft in East Siang

  PASIGHAT, July 17:  In a successful joint operation, Mebo Police and Pasighat Police, with active support from the Mithun Owners Association, arrested three persons for allegedly stealing and illegally transporting a mithun.  The stolen animal was successfully recovered. The accused have been identified as Philip Lego (28) of Ayeng Village under Mebo Police Station, Kanggong Lego (19) of Ayeng Village, and Nandu Nath (22), a driver from Chumoni Village in Assam's North Lakhimpur district. According to police, the accused allegedly stole the mithun from the Partung area and were transporting it towards the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).  Acting on specific intelligence, police intercepted the vehicle carrying the stolen animal at the Gumto Police Check Gate, leading to the recovery of the mithun and the arrest of all three accused. Dr. Lige Basar, Three Others Killed in Assam Crash

  Khetri/Itanagar, May 29:  A tragic road accident in Assam's Khetri area on Friday claimed the lives of four people from Arunachal Pradesh, including a senior veterinary officer, his wife, and two medical students, triggering widespread condolences across the state. The deceased have been identified as Dr. Lige Basar, Veterinary Officer of Keyi Panyor district and president of the Basar Aao Welfare Association (BAWA), his wife Kunga Doima Basar, their son Gemar Basar, and Karma S. Khirmey, Gemar's friend and fellow MBBS student. According to traffic officials, the accident occurred between 11:30 a.m. and noon when the Mahindra Bolero (AR-01Q-0042) in which they were travelling reportedly collided with a truck parked along National Highway 27 in Assam's Khetri area. All four occupants of the vehicle died at the scene.
