Dozi Tana Tara and Ritum Tali Inducted into BJP

ITANAGAR, July 6:

Former All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) president Dozi Tana Tara and former general secretary Ritum Tali officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday, marking their entry into active politics after leading the state's apex student body during the 2022–2025 tenure.

The induction ceremony was held in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Rajya Sabha MP Tai Tagak, BJP Arunachal Pradesh president Kaling Moyong, State General Secretary Tadar Niglar, BJP vice president and MLA Zingnu Namchoom, Minister Gabriel D. Wangsu, State Secretary Lorie Mugli, and members of the BJP Papum Pare district unit.

Dozi Tana Tara and Ritum Tali served as the president and general secretary of AAPSU from 2022 to 2025, during which they represented the interests of students and indigenous communities while actively raising issues related to education, governance, employment, and the welfare of Arunachal Pradesh.

Their decision to join the BJP is being viewed as a significant political development, as both leaders carry considerable experience in public leadership and grassroots mobilisation through their roles in the state's most influential student organisation.

Welcoming the duo into the party, senior BJP leaders expressed confidence that their leadership experience and public connect would further strengthen the party's organisational network and outreach across Arunachal Pradesh.

The induction programme was attended by party leaders, office-bearers and workers, who extended a warm welcome to the two former AAPSU leaders as they officially began a new chapter in their political journey with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
