Arunachal's Geni Kamki Impresses on India's Got Latent Season 2

MUMBAI/ITANAGAR, July 3: 

Geni Kamki, popularly known as 'Luciidforyou' on Instagram, has made Arunachal Pradesh proud by featuring in the latest episode of India's Got Latent Season 2, where she won praise from the celebrity panel for her soulful performance and engaging personality.

Currently pursuing her studies in Guwahati, Geni has built a massive online fanbase through her singing videos and creative content. She has amassed over one million followers on Instagram, while also enjoying thousands of followers across other social media platforms. 

Many of her videos have gone viral, attracting millions of views and earning widespread appreciation from audiences across the country.

On the show, Geni performed an unreleased song composed by her brother, leaving the panelists impressed with her voice and stage presence. 

Following her performance, the judges including Samay Raina, creator and host of the show, Chandan Prabhakar, Kiku Sharda, Balraj Ghai, and Harssh Limbachiyaa, interacted with her, asking several questions about her music and journey before announcing their scores.

All the judges awarded Geni a perfect 10 out of 10 for her performance. However, in keeping with the show's unique format, Geni had rated herself 7.5 before taking the stage, meaning her self-score did not match the judges' average, and she did not win the episode's prize.

Despite the mismatch in scores, Samay Raina was visibly impressed by her performance and gesture, and surprised Geni by gifting her a smartphone, appreciating both her talent and humility.

Geni's appearance on one of India's most talked-about digital entertainment shows marks another significant milestone for the young artiste from Arunachal Pradesh and has been widely celebrated by her followers and well-wishers on social media. 

Her participation has also brought national attention to the growing pool of musical talent emerging from the state.

Three Held for Mithun Theft in East Siang

  PASIGHAT, July 17:  In a successful joint operation, Mebo Police and Pasighat Police, with active support from the Mithun Owners Association, arrested three persons for allegedly stealing and illegally transporting a mithun.  The stolen animal was successfully recovered. The accused have been identified as Philip Lego (28) of Ayeng Village under Mebo Police Station, Kanggong Lego (19) of Ayeng Village, and Nandu Nath (22), a driver from Chumoni Village in Assam's North Lakhimpur district. According to police, the accused allegedly stole the mithun from the Partung area and were transporting it towards the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).  Acting on specific intelligence, police intercepted the vehicle carrying the stolen animal at the Gumto Police Check Gate, leading to the recovery of the mithun and the arrest of all three accused. Dr. Lige Basar, Three Others Killed in Assam Crash

  Khetri/Itanagar, May 29:  A tragic road accident in Assam's Khetri area on Friday claimed the lives of four people from Arunachal Pradesh, including a senior veterinary officer, his wife, and two medical students, triggering widespread condolences across the state. The deceased have been identified as Dr. Lige Basar, Veterinary Officer of Keyi Panyor district and president of the Basar Aao Welfare Association (BAWA), his wife Kunga Doima Basar, their son Gemar Basar, and Karma S. Khirmey, Gemar's friend and fellow MBBS student. According to traffic officials, the accident occurred between 11:30 a.m. and noon when the Mahindra Bolero (AR-01Q-0042) in which they were travelling reportedly collided with a truck parked along National Highway 27 in Assam's Khetri area. All four occupants of the vehicle died at the scene.
